The biggest names in country music

The biggest names in country music!

CCMF 2019 boasts four stages with back-to-back country music greatness—from CMA Award winners to American Idol finalists to newcomers chosen by you.

Alabama kicks off the party Thursday night with a 50th anniversary performance. Before amassing over 40 number-one singles and seven multi-platinum albums, before taking their place in the Country Music Hall of Fame, the boys from Alabama were low-country legends who started their journey right here in Myrtle Beach.

Winner of Billboard’s first-ever Trailblazer Award, Florida Georgia Line will take the stage as one of two headliners for the weekend. If you’re looking to hear a live version of their most recent hit “Simple” or maybe something new, CCMF 2019 is the place to be.

Here’s a fact about headliner Thomas Rhett you may not know: He received a CMA Triple Play award for writing three number-one country songs in a year. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to hear what Rolling Stone called his “detailed style of songwriting” live.

Witness firsthand the intimacy of a Dierks Bentley’s performance, which features a mix of modern and classic country, bluegrass and rock.  A member of the Grand Ole Opry, his albums have earned him 11 Grammy Award nominations. Let Brothers Osborne bring out your rock and roll side, while country radio favorites Dan + Shay  show you why they’re just the sixth artists in history to hold the top two spots on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart at the same time.

Other fan favorites appearing at CCMF include:

  • Accomplished country singer and songwriter Rhett Akins
  • The newly formed Gone West with pop radio sensation Colbie Caillat
  • The always-candid Cam
  • Platinum-certified superstar Dustin Lynch
  • Rootsy chart-topper Randy Houser
  • Breakout trio Midland

And that’s just the beginning. You’ll also see the three winners chosen by fans for CCMF’s Battle of the Bands representing Myrtle Beach, Raleigh and Charlotte.

Beyond the music

Explore local restaurants

While you’re here, make sure you visit one of the exclusive festival merchandise booths, offering CCMF t-shirts, hats and other concert essentials.

Cool off and fill up at the many concession areas throughout the venue. You can also take a break and explore local restaurants close to N. Ocean Blvd, including Rip Tydz Oceanfront Grille & Rooftop Bar, The Chemist Bar and the historic Pier 14 Restaurant & Lounge .

Outside the festival gates, you’ll find a zip line [to quench your thirst for adventure between sets. Download the CCMF 2019 app  for plenty more restaurant and activity suggestions.

Don’t miss the 2019 Carolina Country Music Fest Golf Classic.

If you can, extend your vacation weekend to Monday and take part in the 2019 Carolina Country Music Fest Golf Classic. Proceeds benefit the Horry County School music programs. There’s even an after-party at Dead Dog Saloon with Randy Houser and friends!

It’s all in the wrist

Among the nation’s top youth baseball complexes, Grand Park offers 11 all-weather fields, nine of which feature completely synthetic turf. These fields enable games to resume just minutes after any massive downpours.

When there’s a break in the action, Grand Park puts you within walking distance of an exceptional shopping and dining experience in The Market Common. Designed like a small village, The Market Common includes popular retailers, unique restaurants and pizza and ice cream shops.

Fun beyond the games

Water Park Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach, SC, is a perfect destination for Youth Baseball Nationals, with so much to see and do for families. For starters, all participants (including coaches) in the Youth Baseball Nationals receive complimentary week-long passes to Myrtle Waves Water Park. The largest water park in South Carolina, Myrtle Waves is just minutes from the Grand Park ballfields.

Sliding takes on a whole new meaning at Myrtle Waves, thanks to an amazing selection of speed slides and some of the world’s tallest tubular slides—the 10-stories-high Turbo Twisters! Thrill-seekers will love shooting down the dark and foggy tunnels of the black-enclosed Night Flight tube slides.

Myrtle Waves is adjacent to Broadway at the Beach, one of Myrtle Beach’s most popular tourist destinations. All in one location you’ll find amusement parks, miniature golf, shopping, restaurants, Dinosaurs the Exhibition, Broadway Grand Prix, Ripley’s Aquarium, WonderWorks and so much more.

For a true bird’s-eye view of Myrtle Beach, SC, head to the Boardwalk and hop aboard one of the 42 gondolas on the Myrtle Beach Skywheel. The Skywheel takes you up a full 20 stories above the Atlantic Ocean!

Skywheel Myrtle Beach

You’ll definitely want to take the short drive to North Myrtle Beach and explore everything Barefoot Landing has to offer. The food and shopping here are world-class. Plus, families get the chance to have close (and safe) encounters with a menagerie of wild creatures at Alligator Adventure and T.I.G.E.R.S/Preservation Station. For music lovers, you can’t go wrong with the live acts at the Alabama Theatre and House of Blues.

Of course, the beach and the ocean are always top draws for kids and families. Just remember, there’s no frying in baseball—so be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen and shade for games and downtime.

Here’s a look at just some of the bike and car events coming to Myrtle Beach in 2019.

31st Annual Run to the Sun Car Show

March 21–23, 2019

Classic car enthusiasts from across the country come together annually for Myrtle Beach’s Run to the Sun Car Show—the largest independent car show on the East Coast. Hosted by the Pee Dee Street Rodders, Run to the Sun includes a weekend tailored to those who share a love of classic American cars and trucks. The showcase of automobiles stretches on as far as the eye can see.

Run to the Sun is also the car show that cares, raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Horry County Benevolent Fund and Grand Strand Miracle League. Last year, the event raised $97,000.

2nd Annual Jeep Jam

April 5–7, 2019

The inaugural Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam in 2018 was a huge success, featuring over 600 Jeeps and attracting thousands of Jeep enthusiasts. This year promises to be even bigger and better. The three-day Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam will include an obstacle course, a Jeep show, live music, raffles and more than 75 vendors and food trucks. Best of all, the action happens just one block away from the beach!

Myrtle Beach Bike Week

Spring Rally: May 10–19, 2019

Fall Rally: September 30–October 6, 2019

All motorcycles, riders and bike enthusiasts are welcome to join the fun of the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring and Fall Rallies held every year. People come to these riding events from all across the East Coast to enjoy some beach time, catch up with old friends and bond with new ones.

The big Bike Week Spring Rally started in 1940, and today it attracts an estimated 275,000 people to the Myrtle Beach area. Just as with years past, this spring’s bike week extravaganza serves up special bike shows, bike-themed vendors and tours around the Grand Strand. Bikers take cruising day trips to Charleston and Wilmington, North Carolina. There’s also a Loop Tour spanning nearly 200 miles through Horry and Georgetown Counties.

If you prefer a smaller crowd, or if you want a great reason to come back, the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally typically draws an estimated 25,000+ people.

24th Annual Corvettes at Myrtle Beach

June 1–2, 2019

Hosted by the Myrtle Beach Corvette Club, Corvettes at the Beach kicks off on Friday night with a dinner and dancing banquet. Saturday is show day, with Corvettes of all types polished and on display at Broadway on the Beach. Trophies will be awarded for classes covering the C1 to C7 models, along with other specialized categories.

The day includes door prizes, entertainment and a variety of food and auto vendors. The National Corvette Museum will also have items for sale.

18th Annual Mustang Week

September 2–8, 2019

Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach is far from your ordinary car show. It’s an event worthy of one of America’s most iconic muscle cars. Past years have included a Mustang “family” Meet ‘n Greet at Broadway on the Beach, an autocross driving school, special competitions at the Myrtle Beach Speedway, drag racing and the East Coast’s largest Mustang and SVT cruise-in, drawing over 2,500 vehicles.
