Alice Flagg’s Grave: All Saints Episcopal Church Cemetery

Locals say the ghost of Alice Flagg haunts the Pawleys Island area, around the historic Hermitage and nearby graveyard. In the early 19th century, Alice was forbidden to marry her true love, but secretly wore his engagement ring on a ribbon around her neck, hidden under her dress. As she was dying of malaria, her brother found the ring and threw it in the nearby marsh. Legend has it that if you visit her grave, you’ll feel a tug on your wedding ring, or you might spot her searching for her own ring.

Wine Tasting and Halloween Bonfire: October 26, 12–5 p.m.

Consider it trick-or-treating for the big kids. La Belle Amie Vineyard, home of Twisted Sisters wines, welcomes you for an afternoon of sipping vintages, listening to live music and relaxing by the fire.
